I am not the most well-versed person when it comes to economy. In fact, I am not even sure when economics shall be used instead of economy.
Recently, I had a discussion with a friend, and after much of thought sharing, I realised that, yes, liberal market is a critical process in eradicating poverty.
Liberal market has been given the bad impression, mainly due to the sensationalisation of globalisation and its negative impact. But not much benefits of globalisation were publicised in laymen and middle class newspaper (of course you get those in The Edge etc).
After much thought and looking at the real world, I realised that we have to promote liberal market, and promote globalisation, because at the end of the day, it will benefit the consumers more than anyone else.
And May 1st will be memorable to me, not only for it is the labour day. It was the day when I embraced the liberal market philosophy.
